Miami native Ana Quincoces is the creator of Skinny Latina marinades and sauces and the author of several cookbooks. Also, as a busy mom, charity founder and social media guru, Ana needs to manage her time wisely to balance all the exciting elements of her life, especially during the holidays.
“I love hosting large meals for my friends and family during the holidays. It’s a lot of work, so for me, the most important time saver is planning. I try to do as much as I can in advance: marinating, making sauces, fi llings, dressings and compound butters.”
Ana also enlists her guests to help when they arrive. “I hand them an apron and a glass of wine, and put them to work! But everyone loves being part of the process, whether it’s grating cheese or slicing bread— and they sometimes even learn a thing or two.”
Ana also loves creating unique tablescapes that are extensions of her style. She mixes a “beautiful, chaotic mishmash” of inherited, vintage plates and crystal with new pieces, which is similar to her casual and layered personal style.
Besides being a necessity of functionality, a watch is an integral part of how Ana styles her accessories. “I love the elegant, yet understated look of my Longines Conquest Classic. I like well-made pieces with clean lines that pair well with other jewelry.”
